It gives you a chance to know the other person (for good or bad) before you commit to them sexually! It's a little harder to disengage from a person if the sex is good and you may stay and put up with crap that you wouldn't if you didn't have sex with them. Plus saving it for marriage means that the person is committed to you with out having sex which means they love you for you!
