How do you withdraw/stop a divorce in the state of Connecticut?
My husband filed for a divorce almost 3 months ago and now he is telling me that he wants to withdraw it. We are scheduled to appear in court on June 1st! What needs to be done in the state of Connecticut to even make this happen? Is it too late to stop it?

The person who had filed for the divorce needs to get in touch with their lawyer and let them know that they want to drop the divorce. The divorce will be stopped. That is all that I did when I dropped my divorce. My divorce was supposed to be final on the day that it was dropped.
Just contact the lawyer and tell them you want to withdraw the divorce papers and to keep them on file for a bit. That way they cannot hold you in contempt for not showing up!
You would file a Motion to Dismiss the case. These motions are very generic, just a one page document stating that you want for the process to end with a brief reason why. There is a great booklet on line. It's for the state of Washington, but these types of motions are very generic and the standard form should be able to be used anywhere. You can fill it out and take it to the court house and they'll let you know if there are any other forms that you need to fill out. You don't have to pay your attorney to do this.
