how do you stop a divorce you don't want?
I truly love the man I married almost 13 years ago. He is going thru mid-life crisis, drinking heavily, addicted to RX’s and is now smoking pot. He is not thinking clearly – I believe GOD wants us together, but husband is adamant. I’ve prayed, and am trusting GOD, but husband is seeking mediation. Do I have to sign for a divorce I am not seeking and do not want?

It takes one he!! of a woman to do what your doing and i give you props for sticking by your husband threw this hard time. I think he will wake up and see the light eventually. Hes going to have to see that hes going down and downward spiral and this type of behaivior isnt going to get him anywhere. I would refuse to sign the paper work if i were you. I would tell him that you care deeply about him and you think he needs help. At this point your the only one that knows him, maybe if you talk to him in the right way he might just listen to you. If he doesnt want to listen to you and shows you severe hate for not signing the paper work, then you have a totally differnt ball of wax on your hands. Then you would need to get away…. Why does he feel as though his life is over with? Has something happened to spur this behaivior? Maybe you can talk him into enjoying his later life in a differnt way, instead of spending all that money on a divorce and all the drugs talk to him about getting away for a vacation just the two of you, to somewhere exotic that hes always wanted to go, remind him what the good life is like instead of this road to ruin… i hope that helps
good luck hun
you don’t have to sign anything you have 2 yrs to sign the divorce papers. so if you want just sit on them for now. and ride the storm out…Good Luck!!!!! I find your decision very admirable most people would of bailed and you want to stay. Good For You!!! Take Care!!
yes u have a sign for a divorce and he is cheating on u
you need to get him help!!! if he does not want help, you should be asking for the divorce. you never have to sign but, eventually the court will mandate the divorce decree without your agreement.
then how did the divorce thing come up, there are legal seperations, that can lead to divorce if problems are not cleared up.
mediation just gives one side a better chance over the other, step lightly refusal can be used against you ina court of law also, weird aint it.
im kinda like others on here he found something that looked better ,or a tastier one. sorry, but hubby seems to be pushing the issue and punching the right calls for testimony against you so he gets out better, watch your step and open your eyes………
maybe hes getting slicked while on the rxes and pot,and likes the new found sexiness, alot of things can lead to others.just open your eyes, think, and watch out for yourself
