Gift ideas for parents who are trying to save their marriage?

My dad and step mom’s marriage is on the rocks but according to my dad they are trying hard to save it. They have been married for 31 years and I would like to get them some gifts for the New Year that will help rekindle their marriage. My step mom is kind of old fashioned so I don’t want to get anything too risque. Any ideas?

That’s a great thing you are doing for your parents. 31 years is a long time to throw away. If you can find a wedding photo or any picture of them from 30 or 20 years ago, put it in a nice frame (perferably one that has a poem about love or something religious about marriage on it). Try to get this picture blown up into a large frame. I also like the weekend getway to a bed & breakfast. I hope your parents can work things out.

I think it’s sweet that you want to help. Perhaps a gift certificate to a resort for the weekend (if you can afford it). Or even one night away at a hotel where they can be pampered and pamper each other. Good luck.
Or even and old picture of them both together find 1 of those freelance artists that do sketchin an get their pictured sketched and put into a nice frame or write them a little poem

First, I think it’s great that you’re trying to help your parents save their marriage. I wish there were more daughters like you out there.
How about a weekend getaway to a bed and breakfast for just them two. Or if they both like music, how about pay for a dance class or something they can do together. Also, I would even look into getting a good marriage counselor for them. They might need a third party that is completely neutral and will help them communicate once again.
