can you stop a divorce thats been filed b4 it becomes final?

my husband and i both had lawyers….divorce has been filed, (in california) but not yet final. is there anyway to stop it from going through without paying our attorneys anymore money to do that for us? final date is may 3rd.

Yeah call your lawyers and tell them you don’t to go through with it. You have already paid your retainer, they will take the money from that.
Since you have attorneys who represent you both, and they filed to motion for the divorce, it is best that you consult with them to stop the paperwork.
I also might suggest that both of you attend marriage counseling since you both felt that your problems were so bad that you wanted a divorce, things are obviously strained in your relationship and you need to resolve the problems before they escalate any further.
