It works if both are willing to make an effort at the marriage. A marriage is not the "wedding" – it’s work to keep it together and requires honesty, trust, compassion, love, compromise, etc.

Yes, it helped save mine years ago. You need a good counselor and both people willing to work and wanting to make the marriage work.

If there are huge, deal-breaker type issues such as infidelity, drug abuse, crime, any physical abuse, etc – then I have no idea. To me, those serious issues end a marriage.

it might work for some people but for some people it’s too late they already planned to get a divorce
