if you filed, you can speak to your lawyer and tell him you no longer want it. he can file for a motion to dismiss
Talk to a lawyer… in some states, once you file, you have to wait till the court date.. Talk to a lawyer right away
See an attorney, if you really wish it to stop, but why would you wish to continue to be married to someone who obviously wants no part of you????
You can’t venue shop for a divorce. You filed for divorce in Tennessee while you were a resident and I assume that your wife is still a resident. The court is going to assume that you are simply looking for a better deal in another state. You can bet her attorney will file an appeal just as soon as you try to file in NC and she will win. .
Knowing everyone has nothing to do with getting a divorce. There are laws about how property is divided, etc. You can’t stop the divorce unless she agrees and there’s no way she’s going to do that because then she would have to travel to NC for every court appearance, every deposition, etc. No judge is going to put a woman through that kind of expense just because you think you’ll lose in TN. Sorry the divorce hearing will stay in TN and you’ll have to travel back and forth because you are the one that chose to leave. I’ve seen this thing happen before and the spouse that leaves never gets approval from the court to move the hearing and put financial hardship on your spouse who’s staying put.
If you stop a divorce, then you are still married. Is that your goal here?
What is it you want? What is it you are afraid of "loosing"
